Fundraising
When One Gives, Two Get Happy
Why do we fundraise?
The Bancroft PFC helps fill the financial gap caused by continued state budget cuts to education. California sits near the bottom nationally in nearly every significant measure of school funding and school staffing. Adjusted for cost of living, California ranks 41st in per-pupil funding. California is 45th in student teacher ratios, and 48th in staff per student.
The mission of the Bancroft PFC is to inspire all students to love learning by providing compelling enrichment opportunities, enhancing the educational experience, and fostering a supportive community while nurturing students’ development. To that end, our primary focus is on school-wide opportunities that are open to all grade levels. Many of the programs that make Bancroft special (i.e. STEAM Lab, Garden, Art Appreciation, Chromebooks, Instructional Assistants, etc.) result from the generosity of our community. We are reliant on parent donations and encourage each of you to donate so we can continue our legacy of enriched public school education.
