Message from the President
The beginning of the school year is a time of renewed energy and fresh opportunities. It’s a chance to set new goals, make new friendships and build upon our strong community. As we all settle into our new routines for the school year, the PFC extends a warm welcome back for a year of learning
and growth. Whether you are a returning Bobcat or a newcomer to our Bancroft community, we are thrilled to have each one of you here. Your participation is invaluable, your involvement and support are the foundations of the Bancroft community. With your collaboration we can create a fun, and
enriching environment for our students in the coming months. We had an amazing turnout for our first in -person PFC meeting of the year, let’s keep the energy and the momentum rolling into September. If we approach this year with enthusiasm and
kindness, together we can make a difference.

Fundraising Update
To date, we have raised just over $67,000 and are currently at 48% of our dollar goal. We are still hoping to reach our 100% participation goal, so please consider donating if you haven’t already (it’s easy to donate on Konstella). The funds we raise this year directly impact the opportunities
we can afford for our students. Don’t forget to check if your company does corporate matching! Every company has different
requirements but let us know if we can help you get those additional dollars for Bancroft.
Volunteers
Thank you to all the volunteers for our first family night! We served over 1000 cups of ice cream at
the Ice Cream Social, what a sweet way to start the year! If you are available to help during the day and have MDUSD volunteer clearance, please join the STEAM, Garden or library committees on Konstella to sign up during your child(ren)’s special
classes throughout the week.
Upcoming Events
- PFC Meeting – September 12th: Join us at 7pm in the library, learn about upcoming events and stay connected with the happenings at Bancroft.
- Fall Picture Day – September 19th
Movie Night – September 22nd: Mark your Calendars! Movie night is Friday, September 22nd. We will be showing Elemental on a giant 32 ft screen. So pack some chairs/ blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars. Snacks will be sold with proceeds supporting the 5th graders outdoor ed trip. - Scholastic Book Fair – September 25th- 28th
Walnut Creek Community Service day- October 14th: Sign up to help in refreshing Bancroft’s outdoor spaces. All ages welcome. Register with www.walnut-creek.org/service
