Huge shoutout to our Auction co-chairs Kelly Bottarini and Amanda Pinkham, your countless hours and tireless work truly paid off.
- [March 2025](https://bancroftpfc.org/march-2025/): Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Valentine’s Day Dance! So much fun watching the kids and parents limbo and cha cha slide. A special thank you to Mrs. Lee for leading the dance— it made the event even more fun! At this month’s PFC meeting, we approved the allocation of $5,000 of strategic funds to Outdoor Ed reserves for future classes. This amount will be distributed across grades K-5, with the goal of ensuring that each incoming 5th-grade class begins their Outdoor Ed fundraising efforts with a $5,000 starting balance—as long as the PFC budget allows.
- [February 2025](https://bancroftpfc.org/february-2025/): All of the incredible community events and fundraisers organized by the PFC are made possible entirely by volunteers, and they wouldn’t happen without dedicated leads to coordinate them. A huge thank you to our Multicultural Fest Committee for their hard work in bringing together such an amazing event! The festival was a beautiful celebration of Bancroft’s diversity and the vibrant community we are so lucky to be a part of.

I hope everyone has had a happy and healthy start to the new year. Our volunteers are busy planning some wonderful upcoming community events in the next few weeks. 
- [December 2024](https://bancroftpfc.org/december-2024/): As we head into the holiday season, we want to wish our amazing Bobcat community a fun and restful Winter Break! Thank you to those who joined our PFC mingle at Pinstripes. It was nice to connect with new families and spend time with old friends. We will be back in January for our regular PFC meeting January 14th, and will continue to offer the Zoom option for those not able to join in person.

Let´s recap on what we shared as a community and what has been achieved so far! This month, instead of our regular PFC meeting, join us for a fun relaxing evening at Pinstripes' new location!
- [October 2024](https://bancroftpfc.org/october-2024/): Since I began my term as President, my goal has been to strengthen our community by creating a welcoming environment for everyone at Bancroft and encouraging engagement. With the premise that when families feel connected to the community, they are more likely to lend a hand. If families know how their donations are being used, they are more likely to donate and most importantly help to enhance the educational experience of our Bobcats. While the Parent Faculty Club (PFC) continues to plan and organize these fun events, we need everyone's support to ensure their success. This year we have had to consider canceling events or certain aspects of events due to lack of volunteer sign-ups. Please remember, many hands make for light work, and your involvement can make a significant difference.
- [September 2024](https://bancroftpfc.org/september-2024/): What a great start to the year! Our first family night of the 24/25 school year was a huge success. Thanks so much to our Ice Cream Social lead Smyth Campbell who organized an ultra fun night for our Bobcats. We served over 800 cups of ice cream along with a fun dance party! THANK YOU to all who volunteered to serve/set up and clean up!
- [August 2024](https://bancroftpfc.org/august-2024/): I’m excited to kick off the year with you all and continue as your PFC President for the 24/25 school year. Together, we have the incredible opportunity to make this year amazing for our Bobcats. We all know that when we come together as a community, we can achieve amazing things. Whether it's creating memorable events, supporting our teachers, or fundraising to provide the best resources for our students, every little bit makes a difference.

There is fabulous food, excellent entertainment and lots of items to bid on. Even if you can’t make it to the event itself, the online auction is available a week before the auction to make sure everyone gets a chance to participate. - [Walk-A-Thon](https://bancroftpfc.org/fundraising/walk-a-thon/): Walk-A-Thon Run or Walk for a Great Cause One day in the fall, all the grades take to the Bancroft field and run/walk as many laps as they can. Each students receives an envelope to collect donations from family and friends. The donations can be a flat rate or based on the number of laps a student runs (ex: Grandma pledges $1/lap and pays after the event for each lap completed). Each student can even make their own individual online donation portal through 99pledges. Next Bancroft Walk-A-Thon will take place in fall 2025.

Every 4th and 5th grader has an option to participate with practices taking place at the end of the day on Fridays or after school.  Children decide on the musical around January and auditions start around February. Behind the kindergarten pod there are plants and flowers all year round.
